This Privacy Policy describes the data protection practices of Media Tradecraft (collectively, “Tradecraft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to information that we collect and use about you including when you access or use the Tradecraft website located at https://mediatradecraft.com (the “Website”), or engage with us through social media  We refer to these products and services collectively as the “Services.” The operator or organizer of the relevant Services is the data controller determining the purposes and means for the processing of your personal data.

Cookies and Web Beacons: We may use cookies (a small text file placed on your computer to identify your computer and browser), web beacons (an electronic file placed on a website that monitors usage), and other similar technologies to improve the quality of the Services and to better target and analyze consumer behavior with the goal of providing better and more relevant advertising. Our cookie does not include your name or anything personal to you. It simply tells us that we have encountered your computer at some prior point. Only the minimum necessary PII is shared with these providers, each of whom is responsible for its own data protection practices. Users can review and manage their data-sharing preferences through the publisher-managed Consent Management Platform (CMP), which ensures transparency, provides clear details on data use, and adheres to applicable regional privacy laws. Our services comply with the publisher’s CMP, respecting and enforcing user consent preferences in line with privacy laws and industry standards.

We do not sell, share, or rent user information. Data is disclosed only with user consent or as required by law. While we strive to work with responsible partners, we are not liable for their privacy practices or policies.

Required by Law. We may disclose personal any information collected through the Site if we are required to do so by law or pursuant to legal process, in response to a request from government officials or law enforcement authorities, or as necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of illegal activity.

Business Transfers. ONLINE ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

We may use third-party web analytics services (such as those of Google Analytics) on our Services to collect and analyze usage information through cookies and similar tools; engage in auditing, research, or reporting; assist with fraud prevention; and provide certain features to you. To prevent Google Analytics from using your information for analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on by clicking here.  If you receive email from us, we may use certain analytics tools, such as clear GIFs to capture data such as when you open our message or click on any links or banners our email contains. This data allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our communications and marketing campaigns.

 

RETENTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

We keep your information for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The length of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and/or as required to comply with applicable laws.

 

THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

The Services may contain links to websites or content operated and maintained by third parties such as social media sites, and also contain third-party plug-ins (such as the Facebook “like” button”). Tradecraft does not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from our practices. If you click on a link or an advertisement, the privacy policy of the website to which you link will govern the collection and use of your information by that website’s operator(s). CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are intended for general audiences and not for children under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected “personal information” (as defined by the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) from children under the age of 16 without valid parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as possible. We do not knowingly process data of EU residents under the age of 16 without parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected data from an EU resident under the age of 16 without parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as possible. We also comply with other age restrictions and requirements in accordance with applicable local laws.

  2. How we use these categories of personal information. We and our service providers may use the categories of personal information we collect from and about you for the following business and commercial purposes (as those terms are defined in applicable law).
  • Our or our service providers’ operational purposes;

We may also disclose this information to third parties for legal, compliance or security purposes, or in connection with a business transfer, as described further in “When We Disclose Your Information” above.

  1. Sale/Sharing of Personal InformationThe CCPA sets forth certain obligations for businesses that “sell” personal information or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. Under the CCPA, “sale” and “sharing” are defined such that they may include allowing third parties to receive certain information for advertising purposes.  We do not “sell” or “share” your personal data as those terms are defined in California Civil Code § 1798.140.  Please note we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information other than for disclosed and permitted business purposes for which there is not a right to limit under the CCPA.
  2. Additional Privacy Rights. In addition to the opt-out rights sections above, California residents may make certain requests about their personal information under the CCPA as set forth in the “Online Advertising Opt-Out Procedure” section above. The CCPA further provides you with the right to not be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising your rights. Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under California law.  For example, we need certain information in order to provide the Services to you.
  3. Shine the Light. California Law permits customers who are California residents to request certain information once per year regarding our disclosure of “personal information” (as that term is defined under applicable California law) to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
  4. Do Not Track. Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. Except as otherwise described herein with respect to legally required browser based opt outs, we do not recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals, as there is no industry-wide framework for DNT signals. The Site is controlled and operated by us from the United States of America and is not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States of America. Tradecraft may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and so you should review this Policy periodically. If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will inform you by posting the revised Privacy Policy on the Services. Those changes will go into effect on the Revision Date shown at the top of the revised Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Services constitutes your consent to the revised Privacy Policy.
